Pilot Assembly & Thermostat Inspection Point

When you become a homeowner, there are certain things that come along with the joy of owning your home. One of those is regular maintenance and inspection on your heating and air conditioning units. These units need to be checked, not only to ensure that they are running efficiently, but also to ensure that there are no safety hazards present. An inefficient unit can cost hundreds of dollars a year in heating and cooling costs.

Here at Complete Mechanical, Inc., our technicians are well-versed in all types of heating and air conditioning systems, including heat pumps, furnaces, and others. Gas furnaces especially need a thorough inspection to ensure that they are running properly. One of the items on our inspection point checklist I the pilot assembly and thermostat. A fault pilot assembly could indicate that there is a faulty thermocouple in the unit, which is a simple fix, but one that needs to be performed in order for the furnace to function properly.
